If you can, always finish what you have begun. Never concede that you are too far behind to claw back some time to continue where you left off - you are alive aren't you? Keep your goals in view and fulfill the promises you have made.
The only way get it done is to do it, so get your mind correctly focused on what has to be done, and figure out how you are going to do, then do it. Always looking at the prize - this will make what seems difficult surprising easy, and your determination will support you all the way.
Just do it!

Be the Best!
In a world that demands instant gratification and instant results, it can be difficult to pour yourself into everything that you do. The predominant culture of instant work and quick fixes can also encourage mediocrity, and with such a work atmosphere it can be difficult for anyone to even think of being their best. However, you can always be the exception to the rule: you can still be the best that you can be, and with a few tricks up your sleeve, you can find a way to be the best and allow others to follow your good example.
In the olden days, being the best meant doing well in school, getting A's every semester, getting into a great college, and then getting a great job that would spell great retirement and living off the interest that you invested. However, this measure of success and being the best also neglects the fact that you have to be happy with what you are doing.
As you might well know, there are many insanely rich people who are not happy with their lives, even if they have a lot of money to spend; and there are many people who live with just enough to live, but are very happy with their lives.
Keep this in mind as you try to find out how to be the best that you can be: there is no use running after dreams if you don't want to, and if you know that you can't be happy. The key is that you should be happy first, because no one else around you will be happy, and you certainly cannot make anyone happy, if you are not happy to begin with. This means that you will have to find a career that makes you happy, a career path that is sustainable and that you know will keep you happy in the long run.
However, you also have to remember that being happy does not only mean doing what you want to do. It's making other people happy as well. You may have heard that money isn't everything, but guess what - it can add to your happiness if you don't make it the be all and end all of your work. The reason that many people are unhappy with their careers is that they are working for the money, but they have no idea what to spend it on. Instead of working for the money, work toward something that you can buy with the money. For instance, if you are looking toward buying a house and a car, then put purpose in your work and work toward them. By driving yourself through a purpose, you give your work meaning - and you may find more incentives for being the best that you can be.
Another way that you can be the best that you can be is to balance your life.
The tendency of a lot of people is to go to extremes when they realize that they are not living their life well enough: if they are not spiritual enough, they will plunge headlong into a church and forget about everything else; if they do not have a hobby, they will take up a hobby immediately and not mind school, work, or family. Learn how to balance yourself: everything in life is important, and if you learn how to balance work, life, and family, you too will be happy, and you won't burn out as easily.
Moreover, remember that life is a constant learning experience. This means that you do not stop learning at school, and you have a lot of opportunities to improve yourself. Inquire at your local university or community college about classes that you can take up to improve your skills or add to your knowledge. After all, the world has changed a lot since you left school, and you may need to update your brain on the latest in your field. If you can't go back to school, inquire online and look for courses that might help you get reacquainted with your expertise.
With a lot of knowledge under your belt, you can be sure to advance yourself in your field and not get bored.
These are only a few tips that you may want to take into consideration as you start on your journey to being your best. There are still many different ways for you to improve your life, but the important thing is that you take care of yourself first, love yourself, improve yourself, and make sure that you are working at full capacity, and with a purpose. This way, your journey to being your best will truly lead to a happy ending.

Flex up on your thinking
Don't you just detest the arrogance of those people who think they know all there is to know about the point you are trying to make.
You know when you are conveying an idea to someone, or you are trying to channel a person to consider something from a different angle. However they are too busy stomping over your input with their output which is at best incomplete. Yes the passionate ignoramus! Rigid, inflexible, crystallized in their thinking. They have a response to what has not even been said; and when they speak their ignorance is duly exposed. Teenagers are very good at this. They know everything - so they think. So when having a conversation with a teenager about any topic - leave them to insist on delivering their 360 degree knowledge - I guarantee you they will only get to 90 at best, and if they are really savvy 145!
If you think you have all the answers - you haven't. That is it - why? Because we all have something to learn, and our minds cannot cover all the bases. If you think you have all the answers, you may as well hibernate, because you cannot be helped - so you will be forgotten quickly. Next!
If you want to get the most out of life - you need to be flexible in your thinking. You must be open and aware. Life is dynamic; and so must your thinking. We cannot know what life will come to us with, but if we have an open mind we are in a better vantage point than if we have it all 'figured out'.
The Rules of Life (Templer, 2006) gives us a clear illustration. " The instant you have established yourself in a set pattern, you have set yourself up to be knocked of course" He goes on to encourage a close examination of our thinking. "Flexible thinking is like mental martial arts - being able to duck and weave, dodge and flow. Try to see life not as the enemy but as the friendly sparring partner. If you are flexible you will have fun stand your ground you are likely to get knocked about a bit".
If you are given an opportunity to get outside your own way of doing things, your own thinking - grab it with both hands - see how it pans out. You may not know it but it is a diamond opportunity.
Here are a couple of examples offered by Richard Templar on how you can test the flexibility of your thinking:
- What sort of books do you read? Are they they same books you have been reading for the past few years?
- Have you found yourself saying things like 'I don't know any people like that' or 'I don't go to those kind of places'
Renew Your Mind and Change Your Life
The human mind is amazing - it really is. Think about it. Our mind is the starting point for everything we do in our life. No one does anything in life without first engaging in thought - and thoughts are birthed and processed in our mind. How much care we give to our thoughts and how much time we take over them will determine the quality of the thought and ultimately what our thoughts produce. Thoughts determine our lives. They are powerful, because they set in motion our desires to do, to be and to get.
This includes emotional struggles, weight struggles, financial struggle, health issues, identity crisis, fear, addictions, insecurities, business problems, career and job challenges, family struggles, and the list goes on. The potential that is already in us is realised in the mind, and how we use our mind to address our problems will determine success or failure.
Protection for your mind.
They key is to guard and take control of your mind, so you can ensure that your thoughts are captured and controlled. When you are faced with difficult circumstances, the very first thing you must do is to guard your mind by taking control of it. Be selective with what and how you feed it, and what you allow to penetrate it. Just like your body, your mind feeds, and if the quality of what is given is poor, then the quality of your thoughts will be poor. Be ruthless in what you allow to invade your mind - it is precious, completely priceless, so ensure to protect your mind from anything that could negatively affect it operating as it should and spoil its produce.
Endeavour your mind to thinking correctly! Whats that? Well correct of right thinking represents what is true and what is real. I found a brilliant example to explain it:

- It is better to have correct thinking in your goals since you become flexible when the outcome is good or bad. Correct thinking is perfect when you have a business. You bring truth to your customers and you accept the reality of the success or failure of your product. But ultimately, you reap success through correct thinking by fulfilling your moral obligation of not fooling the public.
The mind is the battleground of life. Whether you win or lose in your battles depends on your ability to manage how you think. If your thoughts are permitted to run wild, replaying one negative thought after another, you will lose the battle for your mind and conquering your struggles will be out of your reach.
You can be successful in your life if you align your thoughts to right thinking - it is a decision, and it is your choice whether it will be a smart decision. Your change could just be one thought away.
Remember. We win and lose by how we choose.
